As of July 1, 2026, TokenPay's regulated financial partners have successfully adapted their licensed services to the requirements of the European Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR). Simultaneously, TokenPay has aligned its own platform, as well as the connected processes and interfaces, with the new regulatory framework. Thanks to close collaboration with our partners, the transition was implemented according to plan, and all TokenPay services remain available to our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MiCAR Regulation establishes, for the first time, a uniform regulatory framework for crypto services within the European Union. For regulated market participants, the deadline of July 1, 2026, meant extensive technical, organizational, and regulatory adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of this regulatory and technical migration, processing times for some transactions were extended yesterday, July 1, 2026. The change affects various processes within our partners' payment infrastructure and has impacted the usual processing time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, some payment methods may require new payment information, such as new bank details or reference information. During a transition period, existing payment information will often remain valid initially. However, this will be gradually replaced by the new payment information in the long term. We therefore recommend that our customers always use the payment information currently displayed in their TokenPay account for new deposits and transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No action is required from our customers. All TokenPay products and services remain fully available and can be used as usual. International transfers as well as fiat and stablecoin transactions will continue to be processed. Should longer processing times occur in individual cases, this is a temporary side effect of the regulatory change. In some cases, new KYC processes or requests for additions and\/or updates to KYC information may also occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The successful implementation of MiCAR requirements by our partners represents an important step for the European digital asset market. Uniform regulatory standards will create greater transparency, security, and legal certainty for companies and customers in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
